Towards the Writers' Festival

We want to celebrate the great writing that kids have been doing and what better way than to publish a series of books. So far we have six, mostly available from the store at

Lulu.com. They include The Dragon Watcher, The Long Dead King, All Things Mystical, Half Dead Earth, Troy Story, Falling and Licorice Allsorts.

These books will all be launched as part of the Writers's Festival, along with other hand-published stories and a great range of digital presentations including several new episodes of Inanimate Alice, iMovies, Quicktime movies made from Powerpoint, and interactive Scratch games.

The BEPS Writers' Festival will be held December 3 - 5 and as well as featuring children's works, will showcase illustrator Craig Smith (Billy the Punk, Sister Madge's Book of Nuns), parent and comedian Catherine Deveney, and poet/performers Raymond J Batholemeuse and Myron Lysenko.

There's also a week-long Book Fair and a dress up day - come as your favourite  character or author, of course.

The books from Lulu and Blurb (get the Dragon Watcher here) can be purchased by parents, grandparents or others interested in a great Xmas present!
